Fashion Week Day 4- I am still alive!

What was the beginning of the work week for the rest of the world was actually Day 4 of Fashion Week here in NYC. I kicked off my Monday at the Style 360 Caravan of designers held at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Sponsored by Tide, a collective of designers including, Gr. Dano, Travel Jersey, Jocelyn, Ronen Chen, Ivana Helsinki, and Rock the Vote by Sociology showed pieces that were both fashionable and washable. Showcasing a majority of casual creations, designers Ronen Chen and Caravan surprised the audience with washable evening wear which is sort of oxymoronic but, in the end, it looked great. To throw a twist to the morning, up and coming Universal/SRC R&B singer Shontelle, not only performed but also modeled in the show.

In the afternoon, I ran over to the Sergio Davila show held in the tents. Davila is a menswear designer but, for his first show at Bryant Park, he showed a few pieces for women. His palette was mostly navy, aqua and oatmeal with black as well. The lightweight pima cotton and linens translated to a weathered look where the models looked like they had been working at sea. I look forward to seeing more of Sergio!

As a note, you will see that my coverage for the Fashion week is heavy on new designers and that is because I love new and fresh names. I dream of seeing up and comers and then years later hearing about them scoring deals with Target! - Wink!
So that is my wrap up for Day 4 of Fashion Week. Hope you guys are enjoying the re-cap. Stay tuned for my postings on gift bags, what to wear during Fashion Week and a recap of Gossip Girl, Rachel Zoe and Oprah throughout the week!
