Models, and Booze!

9am shows are rough but designer ChoCheng was able to pull off a surreal spring collection at Astor Hall in the New York Public Library. Cho has one of the most interesting backgrounds of any designer showing this week. The Parson Grad is all of 22 and his muse is the original supermodel Carmen Dell’Orefice. His designs are worn by all the Chinese socialites and his front row had quite a few New York ladies as well. In addition Simon, the husband from The Real Housewives of New York who I believe is secretly stalking me was there and Kelly Choi, the NYC-TV host.

Mid afternoon, I headed over to the Prince George Ballroom for the Nolcha collective and who do I see, Brooklyn Borough President, Marty Markowitz! The show and showcase was excellent with Royal Sunday, Sarar and Eva Zissu of Ev.Art showing their designs.

I made a quick stop over to Accessories designer Elaine Turner’s showroom to see her new line plus who could resist booze and shoes? Elaine’s bags, and shoes incorporate functionality and fabulousness. I went major gaga over the fuchsia embossed croc clutch. Check your local Nordstrom’s for Elaine’s line and get on the bandwagon.

My evening was even heavier with a sold out Pamela Rolland show over at the tents. Some of the celebs I saw making their way included, Eric Benet, Natalie Cole, and Mel B., who also needs to stop stalking me. Then I headed uptown for Fran Dresher’s Cancer Schmancer cocktail party at the new Anne Fontaine store. One thing, I can tell you is that Harrison Shriftman can throw a soiree. They have the best door people, the best mixture of guest and the best cocktails. They are so divine at executing fab soirees that the founders have published books on how to do just that! Thanks ladies for the invite and I was happy to participate for a good cause.

I dipped into Barney’s for a quick second and saw an Alaia leopard coat that was TO DIE. I also spotted Ghita designer, Alexis Phifer looking very fab. Then I was off again, to the 8pm Nolcha showing of Lanvy and Celestino. Such a dramatic opening, if I may say. The Japanese drummers had me roared up along with the free booze- HAHAHAHAHA!

We ended the night at VNY Model management anniversary party. FYI PR, you throw a mean ass shindig. The beautiful people and I do mean beautiful people were out. I was so moved that I hoped my ass on the Red Carpet for an impromptu J-list celeb moment!
