Extra Credit- Beauty on the Cheap

To end this series of Beauty on the Cheap, I thought that I also let you in on a few more products that give you the best level of groomed perfection and they can all be found at your local CVS, Duane Reade, Target, Rite Aid or Walgreen’s!

Visine

I suffer from allergies year round. So randomly my eyes will look like Bubs from the Wire. The only way I can ensure a bright wide eye look is with this universal staple. Loved by make-up artist, rock stars and geeks. This is a major necessity to avoid looking rough.

Sally Hansen Hard as Nails

I don’t have the best nails. A reformed biter that is now in rehab for picking and peeling, this product makes it hard as hell for me to pick or destroy my manicure. It is also great to use a day or two after your manicure to make it last. All other top coats are crap to me.

Baby Wipes

I keep a pack everywhere. Whether it is to freshen up on a steamy day or to remove make up. These gentle wipes are a necessity of mine. I can’t take my make up off the old fashion way with soap and water. Instead, I use a wipe and feel rejuvenated. Figuring if you can use it on a baby’s bottom, then your face won’t suffer too much.

Rembrandt Toothpaste

After my skin, my teeth are a major obsession; many of you know of my retainer situation. Rembrandt has a gentle whitening formula. It has around for years. All these other whitening formulas can’t touch this with a ten foot pole.

Noxzema Cleansing Cream

Old school but still the absolute best for getting rid of blemishes overnight or removing major makeup. I dab this on a zit and wake up trying to find out where it was last.

Maybeline Great Lash

Hands down the best drugstore Mascara. Blackest black is great as it adds a fourth dimension to your lashes. With its newest formula, it doesn’t run when you’re crying or on hot and humid days.

Le Kair Cholesterol Hair Conditioner

A staple in every product junkie’s household. I do believe, this was my very first conditioner I used at around age 4 or 5. My mom would slather it on, let me run around or watch Carebears and rinse it out leaving my massive fro easier to come thru. As a grownup, I put it on at night and rinse it out in the morning leaving it super shiny and soft.

Jergens Natural Glow

Mornings can be rough and sometimes au natural can be oh so terrible. The tinted Moisturizer gives you an excellent glow and makes you face look supple and glowy. Keep a small container in your pocketbook for re-ups or late nights and the big one at home.

Hope Beauty on the Cheap worked for you this week! I am going to flip the script a little bit next week so stay tuned!

It's nice to know I'm not a complete fashion/beauty spaz!I swear by Sally Hansen Nail Polish and Maybelline's mascara. And while I do keep wipes handy, I can't look at baby wipes without thinking of Terrance Howard. But he has a point! :-P
