It's a Wrap- NYC Fashion Week F/W 2009

It's a wrap for NYC Fashion Week and although it was more modest and less flashy than the past eight years I've been attending, it was still a kick ass homage to beauty and American style.
Smaller more independent designers like Mrs.Obama- favorite- Jason Wu and Vogue fave- Alexander Wang received amazing reviews for keeping Fashionistas stimulated in our economic times. My personal faves were of course Tibi, Toni Maticevski and Terexov. It was also, the first year that I have found and had an incredible time at the parties for Fashion Week. Unlike, last season, I chose to be more of a Reccesionista and less Fashionista and shopped my closet rather than stores for my Runway viewing. I received tons of compliments on my combinations of hi/lo and rave reviews for vintage. As I rejuvenate myself and take in all the trends for Fall 09 , take a look at a couple of images I have of last week.

P.S. Vintage Day Trip was slamming- stay tuned this week for my follow up post about that!
