Sell Your Closet!

You feeling a little tight in your pocket, you crying broke a little to often? Well, you need to look around your residence and see if you have any goods worth salvaging for profit. Today, I'll begin a two part series on selling your own items. Before you think you can just sell anything, check out the list below:

1. Take Inventory

Purge your closets, try on old shoes and be honest with yourself about what you are willing to get rid of.

2. If You Think It's Not Worth Salvaging, You Are Probably Right

If it smells, needs lots of work to be worn/used don't insult a possible customer and embarrass yourself by putting a price on unusable junk. Either throw it in the garbage or donate.

3. Do Your Research

We live in the age of the Internet, if you have no clue on how to price things, go to Craigslist or EBay to get a rough estimate of what to charge for an item.

4. Don't be Stupid

I save this one for last because greed and stupid are related. If you have a fairly familiar brand or designer item don't get obnoxious about pricing. Still remember that your item is second hand even if it's not worn so those old ass Guess jeans, don't even think of plopping a Bloomingdale's price tag on it- don't even try!
