Holiday Gear For Under $100

This is the most social time of the year. Even a sequin queen like myself agonizes time and time again and attempts to interpret dress codes and all that. What I have decided to do this season is keep a sort of holiday uniform of key pieces that say Festive, Black Tie, Grown and Sexy etc. These pieces will not only make it easier this winter but for the rest of the year as well.

Asymmetrical

A slither of shoulder is super sexy. What better way to announce your sexy and still modest. The silk ruffled blouse shown above from Banana Republic would go great with a slim skirt, wide leg trousers or even a faithful pair of dark indigo denim.

The Lil Red Dress

Red is the safest holiday color Winter white can be risky, and green doesn't do everyone justice. The LBD is a snore, and oh to safe, kick it up a notch with this tiered number from NY&CO.

If shopping for presents has left you no time to shop for yourself, add some flavor with the right hat. Even better, if you are in between sizes, or don't want to drop dough on clothes, a statement hat will do you justice. I spotted this boho inspiring floppy hat on the Macy's website. Men love a lady in a great hat, so be daring and top yourself.

Banging Earrings

Take a look from day to night by easily adding a pair of earrings. Costume jewelry are eye turning and neck swiveling. These drop earrings from J.Crew remind me of a tree ornament in a good way. Extra bonus, you can wear these the entire year.

Sequin

You think I would have a holiday post without mentioning my wardrobe staple? Sequin is a year round thing for me but hits the stores big time for the holidays. What better time to experiment with the ritzy and glitzy than now. This vest is just what Dr. Glamour ordered. Throw it over a tee and head out channeling your inner glamour rock star!
