How to Celebrate Three Kings Day

Today is the twelfth and final day of Christmas referred to as Three Kings Day. This is the day you should really take down your Christmas lights, ahem, ( Uncle Bo), or your tree, if you haven't already. Since I have none of the above, I celebrate the only way I know how, by throwing myself into the super post holiday sales. This time of the year is the most exciting time for a bargain hunter. Sale signs and massive markdowns are everywhere. To add to the excitement, the stores are virtually empty. Gone are the busloads of tourists, the crazed holiday shoppers and left are the sale seekers and staff that are begging to interact with customers.

My Mom put me on to celebrating Three Kings Day sales when I was but a wee lad. A second generation savvy shopper, Mom proposed to me that if I waited until a few days after the New Year , I would get more gifts than if I shopped before Christmas, one of her many life lessons she has shared with me and the basis of this blog. Just yesterday, I sent a mass text announcing a major sale at TopShop. I'm saying 75-80%. H&M has items $10, $15 and $20. Zara is 50% off, cop yourself one of the Balmain inspired pieces. Bloomy's, Saks and Bergdorf are up to 60% off but over at Madison Ave Spy, the major retailers are having additional secret markdowns with merchandise as low as 70% off. BTW, ask and yee shall receive, if you see a Winter item, there is a 90% chance it's on sale, ask at the register you may even get an additional discount!

Happy Three Kings Day!
