A Vitamin A Day

As I get older I am  fully committed to both looking and feeling great. Yes, I have a plethora of beauty products that could exfoliate a small nation but, I take a keen interest in health aids as well. From having strong bones and teeth to shiny hair and great skin, nutritional supplements   are the key to both disease prevention and anti-aging.

Every morning I take a multivitamin, a fish oil supplement, and  a  Vitamin C tablet.   It's not as bad as some  who take a boatload of blood pressure and pain medications.  That vitamin cocktail has prevented me from getting a cold in more than a year as well as my hair is the shiniest it's ever been.   I acknowledge that I am  getting older, but I don't mind someone guessing a few years less than my age.  I take the multivitamin because I know for a fact I may go days without the correct amount of calcium, iron and zinc which are very important minerals. As for Vitamin C, it helps to build my immunity keeping colds  and the  flu at bay and it's also anti wrinkles with it's protection against free radicals and boost of collagen making cells.Nature Made is a leading maker of health supplements. With a well priced line that caters to specific issues it's  one number on this blog.

Fish Oil or Omega 3 supplements help to lower the risk of heart disease which is the number one killer of women in the United States. In further research it has been noted to reduce ADHD, depression as well as  protect against both dementia and Alzheimer's. Usually taken in pill or oil formula, Mountain High Organics has now launched an Omega 3 Smoothie  for those who don't like pills or smelly oils. There may not be a pill to regain your youth but there are health benefits in pill form to prevent rapid aging.

I am not a doctor. However, I do suggest you talk to your physician before you take any multivitamins or supplements especially if you are on any medications.
