Post Fashion Week Recap: Parties, Housewives, HSN and Beauty Lounges

This past New York Fashion  Week was by far my best in many seasons. It was inspiring, exciting and very educational. As you saw in most of the past posts, there were reviews as well as beauty coverage but there are a number of events that are held during Fashion Week that didn't get the same amount of recognition. The events and parties are actually great times to learn about brand and product launches.  Take for example June by June Ambrose for HSN. The celebrity stylist noted for working with Jay-Z and Puffy,  has brought forth her own urban chic style with a line of shoes, bags and womenswear. Along with June Ambrose, E! News anchor Giuliana Ransic also showcased her line of Moto jackets and knitwear at the The Fashion Edit for HSN Fall Fashion Series.

After taking in the affordable celebrity lines, I got a little pampering done at the Panasonic Beauty Lounge at  Salon SCK. I was able to get a oh so cute manicure using Jamberry nail stickers and my hanger on, had her make-up applied by a very gifted artist.  Although I missed them, a few noted celebs popped in to get beauty treatments as well, including Carmen Electra, Jenny McCarthy and Nina Garcia.

After fitting in a few more shows, I headed downtown to the techStyle Lounge in the Bumble and Bumble building. Janine, the coordinator of this event, hits the nail on the head incorporating brands that are new but on the pulse of technology. Between beauty brands such as PINCHme, beverage brands Onli and Skinnygirl, I was able to tweet up a storm, and take a much needed break. The techStyle   Lounge is really one of the best ways to incorporate your smart phone with brands that incorporate style and technology.

Socialites learning about Onli

Of course, I saved the best for last with the OK! Magazine Fashion Week party. Talk about a fashionable bash. With Nikki Hilton  as host the socialite gave out copies to her new book 365 Style and chatted up her group. The dance floor was jam packed as DJ Yo-C played an array of Top 40 and hip-hop classics. With drinks provided by Bartenura Wines, MYX Moscato and Sobeiski Vodka I was able to party it up alongside   Christina Milian who rocked a Wu Tang tee shirt, Jersey Shore starlets Sammi Sweetheart and Deena Cortes and Real Housewives of New Jersey newcomers Amber Marchese and Nicole Napolitino. It was an epic finish to fashion week and then Paris Hilton, walked in to celebrate with her little sister and I started to scream free Paris.

All in all, this past New York Fashion Week was the best full of fun, fashion and new brands to highlight.
