Indy Style Segment Find the Right Shades for your Face Shape

yesterday I was in the city of Indianapolis for the morning talk show Indy Style  discussing  a topic close to my heart, finding the perfect sunglasses for your face shape.

Sunglasses are a necessary accessory, you need them to  protect your eyes from the sun and also decrease squinting but,  are you wearing the right pair for your face shape?  Like anything you wear,  it has to compliment with proportion and sizing but that is if you know your face shape which ranges from square, round, heart and oval. If you are unfamiliar with your face shape, try looking in the mirror and doing a quick outline of your face with a dry-erase marker.

For those with rounder faces a square frame is perfect to add angles and sharpen features. Try these:

Polarized two tones wayfarers from Suncloud $49.95  www.llbean.com
 Polarized Bifocal Catalina Woman's $99            www.llbean.com
Bongo White Side Studded Frames $19.99      www.Sears.com

Think the opposite for a square face, which has a stronger jaw line and more structured and sharp bone structure. A round frame is excellent.

Reflective lens double rimmed from Bongo $20    www.Sears.com
Crystal Grey Flash Mirror from Awear  $199 www.Awearcharmant.com

Think heart to heart for a heart shaped face with is similar to a triangle . Wider forehead and pointy chin.

Bongo  Heart shaped frames $20    www.Sears.com

For those with an oval face, the cat eye is the perfect gem. Think funky but keeping mind the width of your brow the more wide  you are in that area, the bigger you can go for the cat-eye.

Aviators are a sort of one shape fits all as long as you think about proportion. Aviators are a classic almost always unisex shape. Try these fun one from Joe Boxer carried at Sears and are only $10.
