How HotelsByDay Made My Chicago Trip a Breeze

Room at La Quinta Inn & Suites in Downtown Chicago

On Monday I was in Chicago for less than 8 hours, my flight arrived at 8 a.m. and I departed at
4:30 p.m., get in, get out. I was in town for Windy City Live, one of the few shows I've done with a live audience. Back to my short stay, I touched down pretty early but, I had a call time of 12 noon, basically 4 hours of downtime and I had bulky  luggage, so not fun. So what's a girl to do in the interim? This is where HotelsByDay came in and literally saved the day.  HotelsByDay curates hotels for short stays, where travelers don't have to pay overnight or late check out fees if they are only staying for hours. What can really through a wrench in travels are restrictive check in and check out times. Whether you arrive early or want to leave a later, those inflexible rules can cost you more money than necessary.

Complimentary Breakfast Buffet

So I booked La Quinta Inn & Suites in  Downtown Chicago a hotel that placed me within fifteen  minute  walking distance to the studio for ABC and a 5 minute Uber- by the way did I tell you Chicago's traffic is no joke and I'm from New York. I arrived at 9  a.m. and the staff was able to get me a room and suggest the complimentary breakfast quickly.  The buffet was a great perk and something I didn't even know I'd needed  but, it  was fulfilling and it saved me time.  The  room was excellent, soothing, well decorated and  I was able to take a quick nap, refresh and rejuvenate all before my segment. There would have been no way that I would have been able to check in and check out in the time frame I had with the traditional hotel model.
HotelsByDay saved the day but as a business model it serves a purpose within the hotel industry as it solves  fluctuating occupancy-it's a win, win for travelers as well as hotels.   Btw, My segment with Windy City Live went well and I was able to show up stress free and I before you know it, I was off to the airport thanks to Uber.
Excellent functioning room
